Hex SEO for WordPress

A complete SEO plugin, and a bridge to Hex.

Everything a WordPress site needs for on-page SEO, in an original plugin. Install it next to the plugin you have now, import its settings, and switch when you are ready.

On its own

No account needed for any of this.

Titles, meta and social

Templates per post type, taxonomy and archive with variables, per-post overrides, Open Graph and Twitter cards, and a live pixel-width snippet preview.

On-page analysis

Focus keywords with a score and checks for title, description, URL, intro, headings, density, alt text, links, length and readability.

Schema builder

Article, Product, Service, Event, Recipe, Course, FAQ, HowTo, JobPosting, LocalBusiness, Review, VideoObject and more, plus custom JSON-LD.

Sitemaps and indexing

XML sitemaps split by type with images, IndexNow submission on publish, and the Google Indexing API for job and broadcast pages.

Redirects and 404 monitor

Exact, prefix and regex rules with hit counts, loop and chain detection, automatic redirects when a slug changes, and a 404 log.

Site tools

Breadcrumbs, image SEO, robots.txt, .htaccess and llms.txt editors with backups, a link counter, a role manager and a setup wizard.

Plays nicely

Runs alongside your current SEO plugin.

With another SEO plugin active, Hex SEO keeps its front-end output off so nothing is duplicated. Import titles, descriptions, focus keywords and other post and term settings from Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO or SEOPress, check them, then switch in one click.

  • Detects Rank Math, Yoast SEO, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework and Squirrly SEO.
  • Imports posts and terms in batches, converting title variables.
  • Switch when you are ready; no duplicate tags in between.
Connected to Hex

Fixes found by the crawler, applied in WordPress.

Paste a workspace API key into the plugin’s Connect tab, link the site and verify it. Viewer keys read; editor keys can apply fixes.

  • A dashboard with your Hex site health, top issues, orphans, rank movers and Search Console totals.
  • Search Console data per post: striking-distance queries, decaying pages and CTR opportunities.
  • Crawler fixes pulled into WordPress and applied after a dry run: titles, descriptions, canonicals, robots, schema and redirects.
  • Drafts scored in the editor against a Hex content brief.

Questions

Can I install Hex SEO alongside Yoast or Rank Math?

Yes. Hex SEO detects Rank Math, Yoast SEO, All in One SEO, SEOPress, The SEO Framework and Squirrly SEO and turns its own front-end output off, so tags are never duplicated. Import your data, then switch when you are ready.

Do I need a Hex account?

No. Every on-page feature works on its own. Connecting a Hex workspace adds crawler fixes, Search Console data and brief-based scoring.

Which WordPress and PHP versions are supported?

WordPress 5.8 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

It is kept unless you choose to remove it.

One workspace for every client site.
