Set up rank tracking

Create a rank project, add keywords with locations and devices, add competitors and set alerts.

Create a project

1. Open Rank tracking and choose New project.
2. Set the domain, the default country and location, the device and the competitors you want to compare against.

Add keywords

Paste keywords one per line, send them from Keyword research, accept suggestions from Search Console, or Import an AccuRanker, Semrush Position Tracking or Keyword.com export. Each keyword can have its own location, device and engine (Google, Bing or both).

Rank checks run once a day in a queue, so the first positions appear after the next daily run.

Organise

• Tags: add them by hand, or create dynamic tags from rules on keyword text, URL, title or rank.
• Stars and notes: star important keywords and pin notes to charts, such as “site migrated”.
• Saved views and folders: keep filters and group projects.

Alerts

Under Alerts, set rules for drops, entering or leaving the top N, and ranking URL changes. Alerts go by email, immediately or as a daily digest.
